Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

TRIGGER WARNING

We appreciate the work that BPA has done to be respectful and affirming of the neurodivergent community. The actors have put deep care into creating a production that authentically depicts the trauma that some neurodivergent individuals experience as they navigate a neurotypical world.

However, this play is not comfortable to watch and some content may trigger neurodivergent humans and those who love them. The cast has been prepared for emotional reactions in the audience. If at any point during the performance, you feel you need to leave, please do so. Take care of yourself; do not be concerned about disrupting the show. Additionally, BPA is offering a livestream performance for anyone who would prefer to attend, or continue attending, the performance in the privacy of their home.

One of art’s most important roles in our society is to seed conversations and enable us to alter our perspective. Great art opens our hearts to new experiences. This play is supposed to be upsetting. But if we allow empathy to grow and fill in all the cracks in our previously-held beliefs, then we can change things.

Thank you,
Neurodiverse Connections and BPA
